ENGG205/ENG5205 통사론 I

This course is an introduction to generative syntactic theory at the graduate level. It builds upon material covered in the undergraduate level. We will develop critical thinking skills in analyzing data. On the practical side, we will develop the skills necessary to analyze a problem within the context of a given theoretical framework. At times, we will be presented with data that are problematic for the theory we have covered, and we will have to explain clearly how the data is problematic. On the theoretical side, we will examine a wide variety of the basic syntactic properties and analyze these within a generative framework.
